Mastering Workplace Productivity

This week I took an all day seminar entitled Mastering Workplace Productivity with Jason Womack.

Jason is an Executive Coach and the author or Your Best Just Got Better.

There were a few thinking that really stuck with me from this seminar which were

  • The myth of Time Management is that you will get everything done – everything doesnt have to be done in the same day
  • Productivity is doing what you said you will do in the timeframe that you promised
  • You have to know who you can count on in your life, and you have to know who to count out.
  • Get adequate sleep (less than 7 hours of sleep and you start responding at a lower level)
  • 5 years from now your life will look like what it looks like based on who you spend your time with.

He also showed us some cool shortcuts to use on Blackberry – like customized auto text (which is saving my life btw)

Overall I took alot from this seminar and hopefully get to read his book. Im sure thre are more things I could take away from him and implement into my work/life.
